The Flame International Festival of Fashion and Art (FIFAF19) was held alongside the prestigious London Fashion Week from 15–17 February 2019 at the beautiful Hilton Hotel Docklands, overlooking the south bank of the River Thames. FIFAF19 brought together new and well-known designers, in conjunction with various talented models, artists, composers and performers under one roof from the UK, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Moldova, Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Hungary, Greece, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Turkey, Croatia, Israel and India and across Africa and Asia.
The beautiful and talented lady behind this amazing and ambitious project is the renowned London-based designer and artist, Yana Flame. Yana’s main goal in launching FIFAF was to create a platform that would support and promote creativity, diversity and the sharing of different cultures.
During the event, a huge number of people attended, including representatives of large multi-brand shops and boutiques from around the world; art gallery curators; fashion buyers; media bloggers; photojournalists from printed and online magazines; and a raft of international celebrities and fashionistas. All were brought together by a wish to immerse themselves in this amazingly diverse showcase of art and fashion. The event was also complemented by an art exhibition that included paintings from such famous artists as Igor Tomayli and Yana Flame.
Yana Flame also presented her latest collection of beautiful haute couture luxury bridal gowns, designed to focus attention on the bride on her wedding day.
Flame Couture also collaborated with actress Rose Wilson to present the unique Obsession collection, comprising hand-painted unique kaftans, jeans and leather jackets.
The event also featured a creative show, featuring crazy hairstyles, created by Yana Flame, assisted by Julie Morris and Natalia Moroz, with all makeup being undertaken by the amazing Sweta Hussain, who supported the festival by providing her collection of lashes.
Designer Suzie Uju Ezike from Udara Couture showcased her fabulous collection of mens’ and women’ fashions, her collection brightening the runway with her uniquely colourful shirts, dresses, suits and jackets.
It was also a pleasure to welcome Angela Young from IPaint Faces, who created two magnificent and thought-provoking pieces of body art, in collaboration with Yana Flame Couture.
Guests attending FIFAF19 also had the opportunity to meet and exchange concepts with some of the celebrity guests. The musical element was hosted by talented rock singer and songwriter Allis Allen, alongside the incredible DJ Ginistyla, who rocked the stage and runway with a programme of incendiary and innovative live sets and mixes.
The biggest star of the event was legendary house music vocalist Amrick Channa, who is a mainstay of such top-rating TV shows as The X- Factor, The Voice, Come Dine with Me and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Other guests included jazz singer Ellen Vladyuk; LMR, winner of TV show Pride’s Got Talent UK; Brazilian singer-songwriter Jusky; Elvis Presley impersonator Sal Bashir; soul singer and composer Anthony Everest; and London-based choreographer-dancer Anton Peris.
The eight-strong judging panel was led by Igor Tomayli, a gallery owner in London and former art director of the Slava Zaitsev fashion house, who strictly followed the processes and evaluated the quality of all participants.
The final day of FIFAF19 concluded with an awards ceremony for all participants, including diplomas and gifts from our partners and sponsors. On this occasion, the Judges chose a new designer, whose collections will be included in various fashion weeks, including Crimean Fashion Week, Odessa Fashion Week and Kharkov Fashion Week, together with being included in showrooms in Italy, UK, France and Spain.
